WASTE COLLECTION DRIVER – COOTAMUNDRA

Applications are invited from interested persons for the above full time position of Waste Collection Driver  to be based in Cootamundra.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring waste collection plant is operated effectively and efficiently to achieve Council’s goals and objectives.
  2. Ensuring plant and equipment is maintained and operated in a safe manner following safe work method statements and manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. Ensuring plant is correctly and securely loaded to weight and safety limits and operated according to road regulations.
  4. Understand and comply with Council’s Waste collection plans and waste management policies and procedures

 Benefits

  • Salary range of $962.60 – $1126.30 gross per week plus allowances
  • 5% super guarantee levy payable by Council
  • 9 day fortnight working arrangement

Council is seeking an experienced and outcomes driven professional to join its team of managers from early 2019.

Based in Gundagai, the Manager Assets is responsible for the ‘whole of life cycle’ management of Council’s assets so as to maximise the benefit to our community through the development and maintenance  of systems to record details of all Council assets, including details such as cost and condition. It also responsible for the preparation of  asset management plans, strategies, policies and works programs, in addition to the provision professional engineering services and management of the Water and Sewer operation.

The remuneration package for the position is $126,497 to $148,004.

This role includes Civil survey and design, fleet and plant programs, and operation of the Gundagai Depot and Workshop.

PARKS & GARDENS ATTENDANT – GUNDAGAI (Full time)

Applications are invited from interested persons for the above full time position of Parks & Gardens Attendant to be based at our Gundagai Depot.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring work tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, as directed by supervisors.
  2. Work and tasks are conducted responsibly ensuring the safety for self and fellow employees.
  3. Act as traffic controller (subject to qualification) when required, ensuring the safety of the general public and fellow employees on or near a work site.

Benefits

  • Full Time commencing salary is $891.80 gross per week plus allowances
  • 5% super guarantee levy payable by Council
  • 9 day fortnight working arrangement (applicable to full time position).
