Casual Customer Service PD      Library Assistant (casual) PD

CASUAL WEED SPRAYER 

Applications are invited for the Casual role position of Weed Sprayer to cover both Cootamundra and Gundagai areas.
The function of this role is to assist with management of weed issues as per the Biosecurity Act 2017 within the Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council, Local Government Area. Assist with weed control programmes and assist Regulatory Services staff when required.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Conduct weed spraying and control measures as required.
2. Assist Regulatory staff to undertake duties as required.
3. Ensure the safety and health of employees, contractors, customers and public during the application of weed control chemicals.
4. Assist with drumMUSTER programme delivery.
5. Respond to Customer Action Request System (CARS).

Benefits:
– Casual Hourly rate $34.27 (includes 25% loading)
– 10.5% superannuation.

Sewer & Water Operator GUNDAGAI (Full time)

The above full-time position of Sewer & Water Operator is based at our Gundagai Office. This role undertakes day to day operations, repairs and maintenance of Council’s Sewer & Water Treatment Plants, pump stations, reticulation systems, and reuse facilities, in accordance with environmental and health standards, and State legislation.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Ensures the efficient operation of the Sewage & Water Treatment Plants, pump stations, reticulation systems and reuse systems, through ongoing monitoring, maintenance & repairs, and construction.
2. Ensures sewer sampling, testing, and recording is undertaken to meet required standards of treated and recycled effluent.
3. Ensures the grounds of the sewage and water Treatment Plants facility and related work areas are maintained and presented to required Council standard.
4. Ensure that all activity undertaken at Plant worksites is conducted safely.
5. Attend to sewer and water supply emergency calls and ensure customer requests are attended to promptly and efficiently.
6. Be available to respond to on-call activities on a rotating on-call roster.
7. Deliver quality customer service to both internal/external customers.

– Salary range of $1,104.29 to $1,291.80 gross per week

Sewer & Water Operator PD

BUILDING SERVICES ATTENDANT – COOTAMUNDRA (Full time)

Applications are invited from interested persons for the above full time position of Business Services Attendant to be based at our Wallendoon Street administration office, Cootamundra.
Provide cleaning and maintenance services Council’s civic buildings. Co-ordinate the set up/clean up of the Town Hall for private and public functions.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

1. Undertake cleaning of Council Offices, Library, Town Hall, Civic Hall.
2. Ensure the Town Hall facility is maintained, prepared and presented for users in a tidy state.
3. Ensure Town Hall users are instructed and supported to safely operate and use facilities to optimum capability and capacity.
4. Ensure Town Hall safety and security equipment is routinely inspected and operated.
5. Ensure the Administrative Complex gardens and Max Whitteron Reflective Garden are watered and maintained.

Building Services Attendant PD

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE – GUNDAGAI (12-month contract Full time)

Applications are invited from interested persons for the above full-time position of Accounts Payable to be based at our Gundagai Office on a 12-month contract.
This role administers the efficient and effective payment of accounts and provides support to ensure Council’s creditor’s system records are up to date and accurate.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Ensure the accounts payable function of Council is carried out in accordance with established procedures, policies and legislative requirements.
2. Ensure the accounts payable database is maintained and all creditor information is recorded accurately.
3. Ensure that efficient systems are in place so that all payments are made in a timely manner.
4. Ensure all purchasing documentation is complete and correct before invoices are processed for payment.
5. Ensure that all administrative tasks are completed accurately and in a professional and timely manner.

Benefits:
– Salary range of $1,135.80 to $1,329.19 gross per week
– 10.5% superannuation.

Accounts Payable Officer Position Description

TEAM LEADER, CONCRETE & DRAINAGE – GUNDAGAI (Full-time).

Applications are invited from interested employees for the full-time vacancy of Team Leader, Concrete & Drainage to be based at our Gundagai Depot.
The role is to supervise and lead a team of labourers, drivers, and plant operators to complete scheduled Council works tasks, specifically being concrete and drainage works.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Communicate the goals and objectives of Council to the work team and promote teamwork.
2. Ensure work is conducted safely and completed to required standards.
3. Ensure the effective use of labour, plant and tools and that resources are maintained routinely.
4. Identify improvements to work methods and procedures and make recommendations to work supervisors.
5. Ensure Council resources are operated in accordance with WHS requirements and standards.

Benefits:
– Salary range of $1,175.79 – $1,375.60 gross per week plus allowances
– 10.5% superannuation.
– 9 day fortnight working arrangement
