Cootamundra Aerodrome
COOTAMUNDRA-GUNDAGAI REGIONAL COUNCIL NOTIFICATION TO COOTAMUNDRA AERODROME USERS:
Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) wishes to inform Cootamundra Aerodrome users of the implementation of new circuit directions at the Cootamundra Aerodrome in effect from Monday 8 September 2026.
The new circuit directions are as follows:
- A return to Left Hand circuits on RWY 34 for daylight operations;
- A new change circuit direction on RWY 28 to Right Hand; and
- Add a note to YCTM ERSA – Flight Procedures in AIP-ERSA-FAC recommending circuits at 1000′ for low performance aircraft due aerodrome obstacles.
These changes have been bought about from outcomes between CASA and YCTM aerodrome stakeholders relating to circuit directions and flight procedures.
CASA will issue a permanent NOTAM from Monday 8 September 2025.

Notice to Cootamundra Aerodrome Users
The Cootamundra Aerodrome has great facilities for visiting pilots. The Aerodrome is also walking distance to restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and accommodation.
Airport facilities
24 hour Avgas bowser. Accepts AeroRefueller carnet cards as well as Visa and MasterCard.
There are toilet facilities on the eastern side of the terminal building. There is a garbage bin on the western side of the terminal building.
Bookings for use of the meeting facilities in the terminal building can be made by calling Council during working hours.
Aircraft tie down area is opposite the hangars on taxiway Alpha.
