SALEYARD ATTENDANT – EOI

Up to 20 hours per fortnight

Council is seeking expressions of interest from a self motivated person or contractor, to maintain and deliver a professional approach and service, within our Saleyard operation at Cootamundra.

Duties include, and are not limited to:

  • Dosing effluent pits and small dam and clean out effluent pit
  • Maintain Truck wash
  • Dispose of dead animals after sale
  • General repairs to all sheep and cattle yards/gates where necessary
  • Record independent sheep sale information
  • Wash out the sheep pens the day after the sheep sale
  • Input NVD’s into computer prior to sheep sale and complete the fortnightly sheep sale data entry and reports
  • General cleanliness check of facilities, including Canteen, Toilets and Administration Building

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – LANDCAPE MASTER PLAN JUBILEE PARK COOTAMUNDRA – EOI2019/22

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council is seeking suitably qualified Landscape Designers/Architects to quote on the design of a Landscape Concept Plan for Cootamundra’s main Ornamental Park known as Jubilee Park.

Once the Concept Plan phase (Phase 1) has be completed and adopted by all stakeholders, Council would progress onto Phase (2) the development of the Jubilee Park Master Plan, then Phase (3) detailed construction plans, specifications, financial and timeline estimates. This Expression of Interest (EOI) is only for Phase (1) Concept Plan.

Expression of Interest: Cootamundra Aquatic & Sport Stadium Facility Review

This Expression of Interest is seeking a suitably qualified professional to submit an estimate for the development of a strategy outlining a plan to drive specific actions and allow for practical, time framed and measurable implementation of any proposed efficiencies.

The aim of this proposal is to consider and confirm optimum future management of the Cootamundra Leisure Centre complex components and specifically to identify:

  • Operating model options that would be appropriate for each of the identified facility sub-sets
  • Risks associated with each option when applied to relevant facility sub-sets, risk ratings and mitigation measures that could be applied
  • Key drivers of operating efficiency for each facility sub-set, and the potential of each identified operating model to optimise operating efficiencies
  • Any issues associated with the transition of management and operation of each facility sub-set
  • The impact of Council’s intention to undertake out-sourced operating arrangements, and any recommended ways to manage that impact.

Council is seeking revised Expressions of Interest for the management and operation of its Gundagai Waste Facility for a period of 12 months, July 2019 to June 2020 in association with the daily operation of the Gundagai Waste facility.

The Operating hours of the Gundagai Waste Facility are:

Monday: 7:00 am – 11:00 am;

Tuesday: Closed; Wednesday: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm;

Thursday: Closed;

Friday: 7:00 am – 11:00 am;

Saturday: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm;

Sunday: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm;

The Scope of Works included in this contract is relating to labour/management costs only and to be assessed by the applicant against the following work activities:

Manage and operate the facility in accordance with all Council policies and regulations;

Opening & closing of the facility between the allocated operating hours; Inspection and management of every delivery into the facility in accordance with Council policy;

Accept and manage all fees & charges associated with the acceptance of waste delivery in accordance with Council policy;

Ensure that the facility is tidy, clean and safe at all times and that there is no litter blown around the facility and its boundaries;

Arrange and manage the stockpiling, processing and coordinate disposal of all accepted materials e.g. green waste, steel, putrescible waste etc. by liaising with contracted processors;

Manage and maintain all associated documentation in accordance with the related regulations associated with the operation of a licensed waste facility, including CRC (Community Recycling Centre. Training required at Council’s cost).

Any interested parties wishing to carry out an inspection of the facility will need to make an appointment by contacting Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council, Gundagai Office on 1300 459 689.

On arrangement by the contractor all costs associated with the processing and disposal of waste/recycled materials will be covered by Council.

All applicants must identify their qualifications and experience in relation to delivering this contract and an indicative contract 12 month fixed price with an additional hourly rate.

Fisher Park Light Tower Upgrade & Playground Equipment

Council has this week sought quotations from Playground Manufacturers to supply and install equipment to be used at Carberry Park in Gundagai and Jubilee Park in Cootamundra.  This equipment will be suitable for Toddlers (Pathfinder, Multi See Saw, Gander Springer, Rubber Domes and Swings), a Wheelchair Accessible Carousel, Junior Climbing Equipment and Junior/Senior Play zone equipment such as a Double Sky Rider, Mammoth Swing, Loft Castle Sky Tower and a Global Motion to name a few.

Quotations are due back Friday 6th June @ 2pm when Council Staff will assess responses before moving forward with this exciting project.

TREE MAINTENANCE SERVICES PANEL

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council invites quotations from suitably qualified contractors to be appointed to Council’s Tree Maintenance Panel.  Council requires, from time to time, appropriately qualified and experienced contractors to carry out certain works for Council in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.  Council intends to appoint successful contractors to form Council’s Tree Maintenance Panel for a period of one (1) year, to commence from 1 June 2019 with an option to extend for an additional one (1) year at Council’s discretion.

The following services are being sought for this panel:   Tree maintenance & pruning including crown reduction, crown thinning, crown lifting and dead wooding; Chipping of vegetation and foliage, removal of vegetation and flora debris; Stump grinding; Tree Removal; Root control / root pruning; and Traffic Control (in conjunction with above services).  Council may accept and enter into contract with a provider for one, multiple or all parts of the requirements.

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council resolved at the Ordinary meeting of Council held on 26 March 2019 to establish a Floodplain Management Committee in Cootamundra.

COOTAMUNDRA WATER MAINS REPLACEMENT

COOTAMUNDRA FLOODPLAIN STUDY

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) is seeking suitably qualified consultants to deliver the Cootamundra Flood Study, Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan. CGRC is responsible for local land use planning in the Cootamundra Township including the land on the Muttama Creek floodplain.

Through its Floodplain Risk Management Committee, CGRC proposes to prepare a comprehensive revised floodplain risk management study and plan (FRMS&P) for Cootamundra township and its environs (riverine and major overland flow flooding) in accordance with the Floodplain Development manual. This tender relates to both the flood study and FRMS&P phases of the process.

It is expected that the overall study and resulting plan will be essentially undertaken in three phases:

Phase 1 – the flood study, in which the flood behaviour is defined and the annual flood damages quantified; and
Phase 2 – floodplain risk management study in which the floodplain management issues confronting the study area are assessed, management options investigated and recommendations made; and
Phase 3 – floodplain risk management plan developed from the floodplain risk management study detailing how flood prone land within the study area is to be managed.  Tenders closed 2pm Wednesday 3 April 2019.

GUNDAGAI MAIN STREET ART PROJECT

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) are inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced artists for a large scale public art commission located at the corner of Sheridan Street and Homer Street Gundagai town centre.

The intention is from the responses received, a committee consisting of Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council community members, staff members and an industry expert, will shortlist up to three artists. The shortlisted artists will be paid a design fee of $500 to submit a full proposal to the Committee. The proposal will describe the work of art and confirm the timeframe and budget for its execution and installation. The successful artist will be required to enter into a contract with Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council for the project. WASTE SERVICES REVIEW AND DEVELOPMENT OF WASTE STRATEGY EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – EOI

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (Council) operates waste collection services and facilities which service the Towns of Cootamundra, Gundagai and the surrounding villages of Coolac, Muttama, Nangus, Tumblong, Stockinbingal and Wallendbeen.
The Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council is seeking to engage a waste management specialist to develop and deliver to Council the 2018-22 Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council Waste Strategy. It is envisaged that the specialist will work with Council to build a sustainable and resilient waste management network that delivers an effective and efficient service throughout the Council
area. In this role the successful specialist will be responsible for the planning and delivery of a Waste Strategy that includes all service levels and functions, project improvements; both functional and capital, projected budgets, and delivery of meetings and workshops in the Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council area.  Expressions of interest closed 20 August 2018.

 

CGRC TOURISM STRATEGY

Council is looking to extend a pre-existing tourism plan (Gundagai Tourism Strategy) to cover the whole Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council area and also to incorporate initiatives in the Council Economic Development Strategy to create a cohesive Tourism and Economic Development Strategy for the new Council. This will include undertaking a full review of its current Visitor Services. This is in recognition of the fact that ultimately the areas of tourism and economic development are strongly linked. Studies show that tourism not only supplies necessary trade to local business to stimulate their productivity and create new job opportunities, it also increases community wellbeing by making additional facilities and services viable, and in turn makes the area a more attractive place to live.  Council is seeking to develop and implement a Tourism and Economic Development Strategy to inform this work to the year 2025.  Expressions of interest closed 31 August 2018.

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – GUNDAGAI WASTE FACILITY 

Council is seeking revised Expressions of Interest for the management and operation of its Gundagai Waste Facility for a period of 12 months, July 2019 to June 2020 in association with the daily operation of the Gundagai Waste facility.

The Operating hours of the Gundagai Waste Facility are:

Monday: 7:00 am – 11:00 am;

Tuesday: Closed; Wednesday: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm;

Thursday: Closed;

Friday: 7:00 am – 11:00 am;

Saturday: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm;

Sunday: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm;

The Scope of Works included in this contract is relating to labour/management costs only and to be assessed by the applicant against the following work activities:

Manage and operate the facility in accordance with all Council policies and regulations;

Opening & closing of the facility between the allocated operating hours; Inspection and management of every delivery into the facility in accordance with Council policy;

Accept and manage all fees & charges associated with the acceptance of waste delivery in accordance with Council policy;

Ensure that the facility is tidy, clean and safe at all times and that there is no litter blown around the facility and its boundaries;

Arrange and manage the stockpiling, processing and coordinate disposal of all accepted materials e.g. green waste, steel, putrescible waste etc. by liaising with contracted processors;

Manage and maintain all associated documentation in accordance with the related regulations associated with the operation of a licensed waste facility, including CRC (Community Recycling Centre. Training required at Council’s cost).

Any interested parties wishing to carry out an inspection of the facility will need to make an appointment by contacting Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council, Gundagai Office on 1300 459 689.

On arrangement by the contractor all costs associated with the processing and disposal of waste/recycled materials will be covered by Council.

All applicants must identify their qualifications and experience in relation to delivering this contract and an indicative contract 12 month fixed price with an additional hourly rate.

All expressions of interests are to be lodged at either office between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF WATER PLAYGROUND AT COOTAMUNDRA SWIMMING POOL

Council wishes to provide a unique recreational facility for local residents with an emphasis on families with young children. This project is funded by the NSW Government Stronger Communities grant program.

Fisher Park Light Tower Upgrade & Playground Equipment

Council has this week sought quotations from Playground Manufacturers to supply and install equipment to be used at Carberry Park in Gundagai and Jubilee Park in Cootamundra.  This equipment will be suitable for Toddlers (Pathfinder, Multi See Saw, Gander Springer, Rubber Domes and Swings), a Wheelchair Accessible Carousel, Junior Climbing Equipment and Junior/Senior Play zone equipment such as a Double Sky Rider, Mammoth Swing, Loft Castle Sky Tower and a Global Motion to name a few.

Quotations are due back Friday 6th June @ 2pm when Council Staff will assess responses before moving forward with this exciting project.

TREE MAINTENANCE SERVICES PANEL

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council invites quotations from suitably qualified contractors to be appointed to Council’s Tree Maintenance Panel.  Council requires, from time to time, appropriately qualified and experienced contractors to carry out certain works for Council in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.  Council intends to appoint successful contractors to form Council’s Tree Maintenance Panel for a period of one (1) year, to commence from 1 June 2019 with an option to extend for an additional one (1) year at Council’s discretion.

The following services are being sought for this panel:   Tree maintenance & pruning including crown reduction, crown thinning, crown lifting and dead wooding; Chipping of vegetation and foliage, removal of vegetation and flora debris; Stump grinding; Tree Removal; Root control / root pruning; and Traffic Control (in conjunction with above services).  Council may accept and enter into contract with a provider for one, multiple or all parts of the requirements.

The attached pricing table should be completed, including a list of services able to be performed plus any limitations in performing a task, e.g. height limitations for cherry pickers.  Offers may be submitted for individual services, multiple services or all services.  Responses are required to be returned to Council by COB 15 May 2019 via mail@cgrc.nsw.gov.au with Tree Maintenance Panel in the subject line.

CONSTRUCTION OF MAINTENANCE SHED AT COOTAMUNDRA COUNTRY CLUB

FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE IN COOTAMUNDRA 

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council resolved at the Ordinary meeting of Council held on 26 March 2019 to establish a Floodplain Management Committee in Cootamundra.

Council invites Expressions of Interest from members of the community wishing to participate in the Cootamundra Floodplain Management Committee. Three (3) positions exist on the Committee for community members.  Expressions of interest closed Monday 29 April 2019.  

COOTAMUNDRA WATER MAINS REPLACEMENT

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council is seeking to engage an experienced and competent contractor to supply all materials and undertake all construction works to replace a section of old, existing water mains in Cootamundra.  Tenders closed 2pm Wednesday 10 April 2019.

 

COOTAMUNDRA FLOODPLAIN STUDY

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) is seeking suitably qualified consultants to deliver the Cootamundra Flood Study, Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan. CGRC is responsible for local land use planning in the Cootamundra Township including the land on the Muttama Creek floodplain.

Through its Floodplain Risk Management Committee, CGRC proposes to prepare a comprehensive revised floodplain risk management study and plan (FRMS&P) for Cootamundra township and its environs (riverine and major overland flow flooding) in accordance with the Floodplain Development manual. This tender relates to both the flood study and FRMS&P phases of the process.

It is expected that the overall study and resulting plan will be essentially undertaken in three phases:

Phase 1 – the flood study, in which the flood behaviour is defined and the annual flood damages quantified; and
Phase 2 – floodplain risk management study in which the floodplain management issues confronting the study area are assessed, management options investigated and recommendations made; and
Phase 3 – floodplain risk management plan developed from the floodplain risk management study detailing how flood prone land within the study area is to be managed.  Tenders closed 2pm Wednesday 3 April 2019.

GUNDAGAI MAIN STREET ART PROJECT

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) are inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced artists for a large scale public art commission located at the corner of Sheridan Street and Homer Street Gundagai town centre.

The intention is from the responses received, a committee consisting of Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council community members, staff members and an industry expert, will shortlist up to three artists. The shortlisted artists will be paid a design fee of $500 to submit a full proposal to the Committee. The proposal will describe the work of art and confirm the timeframe and budget for its execution and installation. The successful artist will be required to enter into a contract with Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council for the project. WASTE SERVICES REVIEW AND DEVELOPMENT OF WASTE STRATEGY EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – EOI

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (Council) operates waste collection services and facilities which service the Towns of Cootamundra, Gundagai and the surrounding villages of Coolac, Muttama, Nangus, Tumblong, Stockinbingal and Wallendbeen.
The Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council is seeking to engage a waste management specialist to develop and deliver to Council the 2018-22 Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council Waste Strategy. It is envisaged that the specialist will work with Council to build a sustainable and resilient waste management network that delivers an effective and efficient service throughout the Council
area. In this role the successful specialist will be responsible for the planning and delivery of a Waste Strategy that includes all service levels and functions, project improvements; both functional and capital, projected budgets, and delivery of meetings and workshops in the Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council area.  Expressions of interest closed 20 August 2018.

 

CGRC TOURISM STRATEGY

Council is looking to extend a pre-existing tourism plan (Gundagai Tourism Strategy) to cover the whole Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council area and also to incorporate initiatives in the Council Economic Development Strategy to create a cohesive Tourism and Economic Development Strategy for the new Council. This will include undertaking a full review of its current Visitor Services. This is in recognition of the fact that ultimately the areas of tourism and economic development are strongly linked. Studies show that tourism not only supplies necessary trade to local business to stimulate their productivity and create new job opportunities, it also increases community wellbeing by making additional facilities and services viable, and in turn makes the area a more attractive place to live.  Council is seeking to develop and implement a Tourism and Economic Development Strategy to inform this work to the year 2025.  Expressions of interest closed 31 August 2018.
