POSITIONS VACANT:

CASUAL CONCRETE LABOURER – COOTAMUNDRA

Applications are invited from interested persons for the above casual position of Concrete Labourer, based at our Cootamundra Depot.

This position is to assist and contribute in a team of labourers, drivers and plant operators to complete scheduled Council works tasks, specifically being concrete and drainage works.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in target objectives of Council to the work team and promote teamwork.
2. Ensure work is conducted safely and completed to required standards.
3. Ensure the effective use of labour, plant and tools and that resources are maintained routinely.
4. Identify improvements to work methods and procedures and make recommendations to work supervisors.
Ensure Council resources are operated in accordance with WHS requirements and standards.

Benefits:
– Casual Hourly Rate $35.37 (includes 25% loading)
– 12% Superannuation

Concrete Labourer – Casual PD

LABOURER – WORKS – COOTAMUNDRA

Applications are invited from interested persons for the above permanent full-time position of Labourer – Works, based at our Cootamundra Depot.

This position performs manual tasks as directed by the Works Supervisor and/or Works Foreman to meet Council’s Operational Plan requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Ensure work tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, as directed by supervisors.
2. Work and tasks are conducted responsibly ensuring the safety for self and fellow employees.
3. Act as traffic controller (subject to qualification) when required, ensuring the safety of the general public and fellow employees on or near a work site.
4. Ensure compliance with Council’s Work Health & Safety and Risk policies and procedures for the provision of worker and public safety.

Benefits:
– Salary Range is $1,075.36 – $1,258.05 gross per week
– 12% super guarantee levy payable by Council
– 9 day fortnight working arrangement.

PLANT OPERATOR – PARKS & GARDENS

Applications are invited from interested persons for the permanent full-time position of Plant Operator – Parks & Gardens to be based Cootamundra.
This position will be to operate parks and gardens plant, including mowers, tractors, street sweepers, elevated work platform and spray equipment, as directed by the Operations Supervisor, and contributes to the manual labour pool within the Operations Department.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Ensures plant is operated effectively and efficiently to achieve Council’s goals and objectives.
2. Ensures plant is operated in a safe manner following safe work method statements and manufacturer’s instructions.
3. Ensure plant is maintained on a daily basis following manufacturer’s specifications.

Plant Operator – Parks & Gardens PD

WATER & SEWER Attendant – COOTAMUNDRA (Full time)

Applications are invited from interested persons for the above full-time position of Water & Sewer Attendant, based at our Bradman Street Depot, Cootamundra.

This role assists in day-to-day water & sewer operations, repairs and maintenance of Council’s water & sewage treatment plants, pump stations, reticulation systems, and reuse facilities.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

1. Ensures the efficient operation of the Water and Sewage Treatment Plants, pump stations, reticulation systems and reuse systems, through ongoing monitoring, maintenance & repairs, and construction.
2. Ensures water sampling, testing and recording is undertaken to meet required standards of treated and recycled effluent.
3. Ensures the grounds of the Water & Sewage Treatment Plants facility and related work areas are maintained and presented to required Council standard.
4. Ensure that all activity undertaken at Plant worksites is conducted safely.
5. Attend to sewer and water supply emergency calls and ensure customer requests are attended to promptly and efficiently.
6. Be available to respond to on-call activities on a rotating on-call roster.
7. Deliver quality customer service to both internal/external customers.

PARKS & GARDENS TEAM LEADER – GUNDAGAI

Applications are invited from interested persons for the above full-time position of Parks & Gardens Team Leader to be based in Gundagai.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a motivated individual who loves the outdoors! Council is seeking someone to coordinate and supervise the parks and gardens facilities in Gundagai. This role is responsible for ensuring that all associated operations and activities are completed to expected standards and within allocated timeframes.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Co-ordinate and supervise the parks and gardens section to ensure expected outcomes are achieved within specified timeframes.
2. Ensure Council’s sporting grounds, parks and gardens and recreational areas are maintained to a high standard with consideration of public safety.
3. Ensure Council’s tree management plan, with particular attention to Council’s street tree program is implemented.
4. Ensure that Council’s WHS policies and procedures are adhered to by all staff under their supervision.
5. Monitor the skills and performance of supervised staff and make recommendations to management regarding training requirements and performance management.

Benefits
– Salary range of $1,309.86 – $1,532.44 gross per week
