Cootamundra Flood Warning System Review

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council engaged Water Technology to undertake a Flood Warning System Review. 

Members of the Cootamundra SES, Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council and other emergency services had input and will have access to the Flood Warning System ensuring future flooding events are managed within expected levels and resource capacity.

The Cootamundra Flood Warning System review has been funded by 24-25 NSW State Floodplain Management Program.

PUBLIC EXHIBITION:

Residents are invited to provide comment on the draft Cootamundra Flood Warning System Review Report.

The report prepared by consultants Water Technology reviews the current flood warning system for Cootamundra and recommends 20 potential improvements for the future. It builds on community consultation carried out during August this year.

The review is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the flood warning system and reducing the risk to life and property within Cootamundra township.
