BOB HOLDER STATUE PROJECT:
At the ordinary meeting of Council held 22 April 2025 Council resolved to investigate the feasability and commissioning of a Bronze Statue of Cootamundra’s Bob Holder.
Recognised as the world’s oldest certified competing cowboy and one of Australia’s greatest rodeo champions, Bob is a proud ambassador for Cootamundra. This statue aims to celebrate his remarkable achievements and showcase the rich heritage, character, and cultural identity of our region.
Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council is now inviting community feedback on a proposal to commission a life-sized statue honouring legendary local cowboy, Bob Holder.
