Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council’s Interim General Manager, Mr Les McMahon, has cleared up confusion and assured Councillors and members of the Nangus Water Supply Committee that funds initially set aside for the project to bring water supply to Nangus, are in the reserve fund.
Funds to value of $112,608 have been utilised so far on feasibility studies and consultant advice to plan the project scope. Council will continue to seek grant funding in the future to bring this project to fruition for the residents and future of Nangus.
CGRC Interim General Manager, Les McMahon said he was delighted the confusion on fund allocation had been cleared up.
“This was always going to be a big project for any Council, I’m pleased we have cleared up the misunderstanding of the status of funding and it is in reserve,” Mr McMahon said.
Council will continue to seek grant assistance in the future, to see the project through.
