11.29am –  As a precaution: An Emergency Operations Centre has been set up at the Gundagai Council Chambers in Sheridan Street Gundagai. The SES is confident as this stage the situation at Gundagai is under control. However residents are advised to call 000 in the event of an emergency. Updates coming.

12.05pm –  Murrumbidgee River has peaked at Gobarralong Bridge. SES expects peak to reach Gundagai in 4 to 6 hours (late this afternoon). Tributories flow is slowing.
The Hume Highway is open.

1.32pm Flood Update: Monitoring continues for Nangus Road.
Expected peak for Murrumbidgee River @ Gundagai is late this afternoon.

2.54pm – SES Update: Murrumbidgee River rising at a steady pace. Should reach peak between 6pm-7pm tonight. All properties that could be affected have been sandbagged. River is dropping at Gobarralong. Council continues to monitor Nangus Road.

4.03pm – Emergency Operations Centre (EOC)at Gundagai has gone to standby, situation downgraded from Red to Yellow. River is expected to start dropping in next 2 hours.
