Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) civil works teams have been contracted by a land developer to supply road, drainage, water mains and sewer connections on Cootamundra’s newest housing sub-division on Boundary Road.

The first stage of the Subdivision will have 32 residential blocks, varying in size from 760 m2 to 1614 m2.

CGRC is experienced in road and drainage construction as well as water and sewer services and will be building an asset that will eventually be handed over to council. Up to ten existing Council employees will working on the development at a time. With some specialised contractors will be used on certain works.

Mr Tony Taylor for Shannon Vale Developments said the subdivision will be a staged release dependent on demand.

“The unique side of the subdivision is that we are working in conjunction with our local council to create an extremely visually pleasant, high quality development which on completion the workers who are making this possible should be extremely proud of their achievements,” Mr Taylor said.

“I was overwhelmed with support and absolute desire to have this project go forward. The passion shown by staff installed a sense of being very comfortable with those in control of all processes, with the majority of expenditure staying in Coota. To date we have not been disappointed in our decision to contract the council to carry out the works,” Mr Taylor added.

Mr Taylor said he believed anything that can improve Cootamundra is a bonus to all that choose to live in this very unique environment.
