Motorists and residents in the Parsons Creek Road area will be diverted around the Mud Wall Creek bridge using a temporary side-track, due to the bridge being damaged.
The bridge infrastructure has been inspected by Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) staff and engineers and deemed unsafe for traffic to use. A temporary detour has been put in place for local and light traffic only. The detour is not suitable for heavy vehicles.
Council staff erected electronic signboard, notifying road users of the conditions on Monday afternoon.
The Mud Wall Creek bridge is at the Nanangroe Road end of Parsons Creek Road in the Adjungbilly area.
CGRC staff will be conducting further investigations on the damage with further notifications to come on a longer-term solution for heavy vehicle access.
