At the ordinary meeting of Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) held on Tuesday 24 June 2025, Councillors adopted the Integrated Planning and Reporting framework. The framework includes the Draft 2025-2035 Community Strategic Plan Review (CSP), the Draft 2025-2029 Delivery Program (DP) (incorporating the 10-year LTFP Resourcing Strategy) and the Draft 2025-2026 Operational Plan (OP) (incorporating Budget, Revenue Policy and Fees & Charges).
The resolution to adopt these documents came after a community consultation period and a review of submissions received.
The Delivery Program (DP) is a statement of commitment to the community from council and translates the community’s strategic goals into clear actions. The DP is the primary reference point for all activities undertaken by council during its term of office. It allows council to determine what is achievable over the next 4 years, what the priorities are, and how programs will be scheduled. Council is responsible for providing a wide range of services to the community as well as to build and maintain community assets and infrastructure such as roads, footpaths and water and sewer networks, as well as to enforce various laws.
The Operational Plan (OP) is based on Council’s organisational structure and includes budgets, operational
objectives and key strategic projects for each of the service units. These activities and projects are linked back to the strategic directions and objectives addressed in Council’s Community Strategic Plan. The OP outlines the activities to be undertaken by Council during the year to provide those services. This plan is broken into three sections including: Budget, Revenue Policy and Fees and Charges.
Also included are Council’s annual budget, capital works program and fees and charges, and revenue policy.
