Residents and ratepayers have until 4pm Tuesday 17 June 2025 to make submissions on the Draft 2025–2026 Operational Plan which includes budgets, operational objectives and key strategic projects for each of the service units. These activities and projects are linked back to the strategic directions and objectives addressed in Council’s Community Strategic Plan. The Operational Plan outlines the activities to be undertaken by Council during the year to provide those services. This plan is broken into three sections including: Budget, Revenue Policy and Fees and Charges.
Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC), Mayor Abb McAlister urged residents and ratepayers to take some time to look over the documents and make comments.
“Along with my fellow Councillors, we are often approached by residents telling us what they want to see happen within their communities. People come up with great ideas or have constructive criticism about Council actions.
As part of Government legislation Council is bound to have a structure or plan on how, when and how much we can put aside for projects, and the continuous delivery of services. The Community Strategic Plan, and the Operational Plan are our road map to providing those projects and services. The Operational Plan also includes Councils Fees and Charges, Budget and Delivery plan for the next financial year.
I’d like to suggest to all those who are vocal about Council’s activities to look over the documents and make a submission by the closing date,” Mayor McAlister added.
The mayor said all submissions would be considered prior to the endorsement of the Draft 2025–2026 Operational Plan at the June Ordinary meeting of Council.
