The Draft 2025/2026 Operational Plan has been developed to outline the proposed projects, programs, and activities for 2025/2026. It also includes information about rates, fees and charges and estimated income and expenditure. Key operational documents that set out Council’s priorities for 2025/26 are now on public exhibition.

Key highlights of the draft Operational Plan include:

  • Upgrades to Cootamundra Showground Luncheon Pavilion. This project will see the popular venue, modernised and fit for purpose.
  • Extension of the water reticulation system to the Dog on the Tuckerbox site. This project will bring the supply of potable water to the Dog on the Tuckerbox precinct. The project will also enhance the planned development at the site, making it fit for purpose and allowing for expansion into the future.
  • Renewal of Gundagai Pool Treatment / Filtration system. This project will improve water quality, enhance user experience and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Pool Pump Infrastructure Upgrade for Cootamundra Pool. Upgrading the pools pumping infrastructure will reduce maintenance costs, enhance user experience and improve water quality.

To read more the 2025-2026 Operational Plan incorporates the 25/26 budget, revenue policy and Fees and Charges is now public exhibition and residents and ratepayers have until 4pm Tuesday 17 June 2025 to make submissions.
