At an Extraordinary meeting of Council on Tuesday night, Council resolved to place on public exhibition for 28 days, the 2025-2035 Community Strategic Plan (CSP), draft 2025-2029 Delivery Program (DP), (incorporating the 10-Year LTFP), draft 2025-2026 Operational Plan (OP) (incorporating Budget, Revenue Policy, and Fees & Charges), and draft Workforce Management Plan.

The documents form Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional (CGRC), Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) framework and is a requirement under the Local Government Act 1993, and have developed through community consultation, strategic planning,

2025 – 2035 Community Strategic Plan (CSP), describes the community’s vision and aspirations for a period of ten of or more years. Extensive community consultation was undertaken earlier this year reviewing the 2022-2032 CSP.

The draft 2025-2029 Delivery Program (DP), (incorporating the 10-Year LTFP), identifies key projects, services, and initiatives that the Council commits to implementing during its term, ensuring alignment with community needs and aspirations.

The draft 2025-2026 Operational Plan (OP) (incorporating Budget, Revenue Policy, and Fees & Charges) details the specific steps needed to achieve long-term objectives. Council’s Revenue Policy goal is to manage revenue raising effectively and equitably, service level and asset management decision, and to ensure the ongoing financial sustainability.

CGRC mayor Councillor Abb McAlister is recommending to residents to set aside time to review the documents and make a submission or comment.

“These documents form the future direction of our Council and will determine the services and facilities that Council provides to the community. They are our roadmap, covering everything we do including future projects and infrastructure. I hope residents take the time to look over this suite of documents and if they do have constructive comments to do so before the closing date,” Cr McAlister said.

Submissions will be received until 4pm Tuesday, 17 June 2025. Any submissions received will be considered by Council prior to the plan’s endorsement. The final plans will be presented to Council at the Ordinary Meeting scheduled to be held 24 June 2025 for endorsement.
