Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) has purchased two new cat enclosures to help with the massive increase of cats and kittens in care.
The enclosers will be in use at Council’s Animal Care Facility and will assist with the housing of cats and kittens in care. The facility has seen an increase in the number of cats and kittens abandoned.
CGRC Ranger, Tara Robinson said the enclosures are moveable and have multi levels for the cats to move about.
“There has recently been an increase in the abandonment of cats and kittens. The enclosures provide Rangers the ability to house and care for more cats and kittens in need of our help,” Ms Robinson said.
The cages allow staff at the Animal Care Facility to help these cats out whilst staff try and rehome the animals.
