A public meeting held on Tuesday evening (9 May 2023), saw a good turn out of Cootamundra locals. Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council, along with consultants from WMAwater, who were commissioned by Council to undertake the Draft Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan for Cootamundra, were able to explain and clarify aspects within the study. WMAwater presented the main aspects of the study via an onscreen display during the meeting.

The meeting attended by approximately 30 people, was held in the Alby Schultz Meeting Centre. Attendees were able to ask questions of Council officers and WMAwater representatives and go through the study. The study is on display for public exhibition and submissions are invited.

To allow those and other interested residents time to submit submissions has been extended from 1 May to 16 May 2023. Submissions/feedback should be forwarded to the General Manager CGRC by post to Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council, PO Box 420, Cootamundra NSW 2590, delivered to Council’s offices at Cootamundra or Gundagai or by email to mail@cgrc.nsw.gov.au

Submissions/feedback can also be submitted through the online survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CootaFRMS

The online survey allows for both general feedback and specific feedback on each of the draft recommendations to be provided.
