A recent survey conducted by Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) has attracted a lot of interest and participation.
Four sets of sails will be installed in the popular park. Carberry Park is utilised by a number of different demographics. It is a tourism hub for Gundagai and is used not only by residents but visitors to our town as well.
Due to the size and impact the shade sails would make in Carberry Park Council decided to conduct a small survey to allow residents the opportunity to provide feedback. The results have been collated and 62% of respondents have agreed with Council’s choice of colours for the sails.
CGRC Manager Regional Services Gundagai, Andrew Brock said he was pleased with the feedback received and supported the decisions his team were making.
“Carberry Park is such a popular park, it is the entry point for visitors to our town, locals love it and it’s great to hear so many kids laughing and having fun in that space. The sails will protect them and the equipment. We wanted to ensure that the decisions we were making in relation to these sails would enhance the area, and would be well received by residents, I’m really happy with the results and the responses,” Mr Brock said.
The sails should be erected before Easter.
