Changed traffic conditions around Wallendbeen Bridge – Date 7 October 2021
Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions this month on Burley Griffin Way at Wallendbeen, as work continues to install a temporary bridge.
Work is continuing on weekdays between 6:30am and 5:30pm. Work will also be carried out over the next two weekends between 6:30am and 5:30pm.
From Friday 8 October 2021 until Monday 18 October 2021 the western intersection (Silo Road, Morrisons Hill Road and Burley Griffin Way) will be closed to all traffic for the installation of the bridge over the rail line.
Spotters will be in place to direct local traffic from Silo Road to George Street for Wallendbeen, or Olympic Highway for Cootamundra and Stockinbingal.
A spotter will also be in place to direct local traffic from Burley Griffin Way and Morrisons Hill Road to Albutts Lane.
Transport for NSW will make every effort to minimise the impact on the community and keep traffic moving while this work is carried out.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control. Please allow up to five minutes extra travel time while work is under way.
