Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) will continue with the rehabilitation work on Mackay Street in Cootamundra, with the work expected to commence on Tuesday 21st September (weather permitting).
The first stage of roadworks will be at Mackay and Poole Street intersections. CGRC are taking advantage of the school holiday period to conduct this work, so there is less disruption to traffic, which includes school bus routes around the area encompassing the Cootamundra High School.
During pavement works, the Mackay and Poole Street intersection will be closed at all times until Wednesday (29/09/2021), depending on the progress of works. Vehicles will be required to detour via Hurley Street or any other preferred route. Detours signs will be in place.
The rehabilitation will address drainage issues and improve the road surface.
Council apologizes for any inconvenience and appreciates your co-operation in following all restrictions and guidance in place during construction.
