Payment of Rates and other Fees and Charges.
The NSW Government has recently announced that due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns about community transmission, stay-at-home orders in place for regional NSW have been extended until at least 11.59pm on 10 September 2021.
Unfortunately, this means that Council is unable provide counter services – face to face interactions with customers over this period to ensure the safety of the community and staff.
Council understands that many people are wishing to pay their rates which are now due.
Contactless payment options are included on all rates notices.
Payment can be made over the phone with your credit card. (Please have your details ready).
Direct Debit – This arrangement can be made by calling Council’s rates department.
BPay, BPoint or via cheque, money order or bank cheque posted with your rates notice to PO Box 420 Cootamundra NSW 2590.
Please note: Payment of rates CAN NOT be made at the Post Office or Banks.
Money Orders for the amount on your rates notice can be purchased from the Post Office, and then forwarded by mail to Council.
Bank Cheques for the amount on your rates notice can be purchased from a banking/financial institution, and then forwarded by mail to Council. PO BOX 420 Cootamundra NSW 2590.
Money Orders and Bank Cheques will attract a fee by the issuing institution.
