Recently Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) issued information to residents regarding Weed Management is Everybody’s Responsibility. This information is now being followed up with a Weed Information Day, to be held at the Cootamundra Saleyards on Wednesday 24 March 2021 from 10am to 2pm.
The information day will cover topics on pesticide information, weed species profiles and characteristics, assistance with decisions on land management, agronomist advice, and networking opportunities with others to discuss weed control.
The day is being held in conjunction with the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and Local Land Services (LLS) to provide our communities with Biosecurity resources, expert advice, suggested control methods, weed identification and pesticide and spraying information.
NO RSVP is needed interested residents are invited to drop in for a chat on all things weed related. There will be a free sausage sizzle and refreshments provided along with CGRC Rangers that will carry out FREE microchipping of any working dogs from our LGA.
Residents and our farming community can find out more about how Government, Industry and the CGRC community share the responsibility and can work together to identify, minimise, respond to, and manage weeds.
