A delegation from the NSW State Government Office of the Regional Infrastructure Coordinator visited Gundagai and Cootamundra on Tuesday. The representatives met with CGRC mayor, Cr Abb McAlister and council officers including the General Manager Mr Allen Dwyer and Director Asset Management Mr Phil McMurray.

The Office of the Regional Infrastructure Coordinator provides independent advice to the Premier and Deputy Premier on matters relating to the priority, coordination and delivery of infrastructure projects into regional NSW.

The group discussed a number of projects currently on CGRC’s drawing board, of particular interest were the proposed mains water supply projects to Nangus, Gundagai’s Dog on the Tuckerbox site, Coolac and Cootamundra.

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council mayor Cr Abb McAlister said it was an informative meeting.

“It was good to meet with the delegation, we were able to discuss the funding for a number of projects, including the proposed mains water supply projects we are currently undertaking and investigating. The team assist and advise the Government on how to deliver, in the most efficient and effective way, key local infrastructure projects,” Cr McAllister said.
