Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) is urging residents to act now, with only days remaining to provide feedback on its Draft 2026–2030 Delivery Program and Draft 2026–2027 Operational Plan.

The public exhibition period closes at 5.00pm Tuesday 26 May 2026, marking the final opportunity for the community to influence Council’s priorities, projects and spending for the years ahead.

CGRC mayor Cr Abb McAlister said community input is critical to ensuring the plans reflect local needs and expectations.

“These plans will guide how Council delivers services, maintains infrastructure and invests in our communities,” Cr McAlister said.“We want to hear from our residents—what matters to you, where you see priorities, and what you think we’ve got right or wrong.“Even a short submission can make a real difference. If you haven’t had your say yet, now is the time.”

The draft plans include a range of initiatives focused on infrastructure maintenance, water security, environmental improvements and community development.

All submissions received will be carefully considered before the plans are finalised and presented to Council for adoption in June.

Residents can view the draft documents and make a submission via Council’s website www.cgrc.nsw.gov.au/contact-us/documents-on-public-exhibition or in person at Council offices and libraries in Cootamundra and Gundagai.

Submissions can be made online, by email, post or in person—but must be received before the exhibition period closes.
