Fences and barbeques damaged in the 2022 flooding event have been replaced at the Barry Grace Oval in Wallendbeen and the Cootamundra Caravan Park.
Following the long-awaited approval of funding the Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) contractors have been able to reinstall the white picket fence that surrounded the picturesque Barry Grace Oval in Wallendbeen over the last week. The fence was destroyed in the flooding event. Also destroyed was the boundary fence along the perimeter of the Cootamundra Caravan Park and Muttama Creek.
New barbeques were installed, and an electrical upgrade undertaken at the caravan park’s camp kitchen. These facilities will now enhance the facilities enjoyed by visitors to the park.
Funding for these repairs and replacement items was through the NSW Severe Weather and Flood Grant.
