The regions libraries remain closed to the general public at this time, however the Gundagai Library has resumed the pick-up service for Gundagai library patrons. The services enables library users in Gundagai to call the library and order items for pick-up at the “isolation station” outside the library.

The station has undercover shelving, is monitored with CCTV and has ample space for social distancing practices. Returns are made through the returns chute. For more information please contact the Gundagai Library on 69440270 or email Gundagai.library@cgrc.nsw.gov.au. All returns are put into quarantine and thoroughly cleaned.

Cootamundra library will continue at present with the home delivery service. This service has been extended to include the villages of Stockinbingal and Wallendbeen.

CGRC Cootamundra Librarian, Ms Penny Howse said the service was being well received by the community.

“We have seen an increase in the number of items being borrowed since the inception of this service. We delivered 5619 items in April, which is an increase on lending figures from previous months, our team made 246 deliveries during April,” Ms Howse said.
