Proposed Control Burn – Gundagai Area

Murrumbidgee Landcare Incorporated, in partnership with Gundagai Bushcare Group & Dean Freeman (Local Land Services Cultural Burn Officer & Gugga Collective representative), has applied to conduct an ecological burn on Council-managed land below the Mt Parnassus Lookout. A draft burn plan & mapping have been prepared & lodged in consultation with Fire & Rescue NSW. The burn is proposed for Friday, 21 August, weather permitting, as a demonstration of First Nations land management practices to support ecological outcomes.
