Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) had recommenced the replacement program comprising of five bridges in the Gundagai area.
This program commenced last year and is funded by Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW), through the Bridge Replacement Program and the Fixing Country Bridges Program. Bridge replacements have been completed on Brawlin Road and Burra Road, along with one bridge replacement near completion on Lucerndale Road, under the program.
The second bridge replacement on Lucerndale road is scheduled to start this week. Access has been arranged for residents only. Motorists are urged to proceed with caution and obey traffic signals and signage.
Work will also commence on bridge replacement on Carrs Road, late this week. A long detour via Kangaroo Mount Road has been put in place for local residents only. Motorists are urged to proceed with caution and obey traffic signals and signage.
